What does a DVINE Fun Director do?

Every DVINE experience is hosted by a Fun Director. Here is what that role involves, and what it means for you and your group.

When you book a DVINE experience, you will see the same promise on every page: hosted by your Fun Director. It is one of the things that makes a DVINE day feel different from simply booking a few venues yourself. But what does a Fun Director actually do? Here is a look at the role, so you know exactly what to expect when you book.

A host, not just a driver or a guide

A Fun Director is the person who looks after your group on the day. They welcome you, help coordinate the experience and keep everything flowing, so you can relax and enjoy the people and places around you. Depending on the experience, your Fun Director may vary between locations and dates, but the role is always the same: to make sure your day feels easy, welcoming and fun.

Before your experience

Much of the work happens before you arrive. Our team confirms the agreed itinerary with the venues and partners involved, shares dietary requirements and other relevant details with the providers who need them, and makes sure timings are realistic. For private groups and celebrations, this planning is shaped around the proposal you approved, so the day reflects what you asked for.

On the day

From the first pickup to the final drop off, your Fun Director is there to help the day run smoothly. That can include:

  • Welcoming the group and making sure everyone knows the plan for the day.
  • Keeping to time so you can enjoy each stop without rushing, and without anyone in the group needing to watch the clock.
  • Coordinating with venues so tastings, meals and activities are ready when you arrive.
  • Sharing local knowledge about the region and the people behind each stop.
  • Looking after the little things, from cold bottled water where it is included to helping with group photos.
  • Adapting when needed, for example if weather affects an outdoor stop, by talking you through the options available.

What it means for organisers

If you are organising a hens party, birthday or team day, a Fun Director means you can step out of the organiser role and into the celebration. Instead of fielding questions, checking directions or settling bills at each stop, you can spend the day with your people. It is one of the main reasons groups choose a hosted experience, and it often makes the biggest difference to how the organiser remembers the day.

What it means for solo travellers and couples

For guests joining an experience on their own or as a couple, a Fun Director helps the group feel welcoming from the start. Introductions, shared tables and a relaxed atmosphere make it easy to meet new people, while still giving you space to enjoy the day your way.

What a Fun Director does not replace

A Fun Director is there to host and coordinate, but some things are always confirmed in writing before you book: the itinerary, the inclusions, pickup points and the total price. Venue specific matters such as menus, allergy arrangements and accessibility depend on each provider, so we will always confirm what can be accommodated rather than assume every request can be met.
